Smile Soap Lake, Washington & p Relief..

1st, Does anyone live in the NW? and if you do I think it is worth traveling to this unique place called Soap Lake, Wa. It is 35 miles from my home and the locals as well as other educated folks swear by its healing waters. See this article http://www.flakehq.com/soaplake.htm;) ... I have had p for ten years but only recently has it got my attention with numerous lesions, scales, pain and etc, etc..... I plan on getting into this lake as soon as possible, and or take the healing baths offered by all the motels. I'll keep you posted, but what i have heard is that this lake here in Eastern Washington, is comparable to the relief that the Dead Sea promises for multiple skin and authritic conditions.... In fact there are only two lakes in the world with the same comparable chemical makeup... Take a peek http://www.atnet.net/~lwitham/soap%2...webpage.html#A

What would it take for you to make a visit to this lake, how many testimonies, a sample of the Mud, or would you seek it as a last ditch effort?

Let me know, I would love to organize a retreat for a couple of thousand p & pa sufferers... The closest airport is Spokane, WA ~140 miles or Seattle ~180 miles...

The wetter west. That is great. Did Seattle get hit by the storm that the S.W. got hit with. The NPF has a brochure about Soap Lake. I don't know much about it but I do know they have a web site. I checked it out when I was living in Portland. Pretty interesting photo. Good Luck.

Yes we got the ice storm last week. everything had a solid sheet of ice over a foot of snow, trees were broken, power was out and everything including airports came to a screeching halt. But it's gone now and we are back to typical Seattle winter drizzle.
I miss the dry cold of the east side of the mountains.

Hey, Roger,

If you get something set up, I'd be interested in slopping in the mud. I'm in Vancouver, WA, so not too far for me. Have you ever been to Sol Duc Hot Springs in Olympic National Park? I've spent several trips soaking in their rotten-egg smelling water, but it was before my p had flared. It would be interesting to know if that would have any kind of effect on p.

Just one thing, unless Soap Lake is fed by a hot spring, I think we better wait a few months......although I'm willing to try it, I don't want to freeze to death in the process!

Soap Lake

OK Sooner,
Soap Lake mmmmmm...... sounds intrigueing.More on the name please.
Also, anyone out there ever heard anything about Iceland and relief? A friend of a friend of an aquaintance of the father whose daughter is one of us, whispered down the lane that the whole family goes twice a year.Daughter gets outstanding results from the mineral spring water at the spas. And get this - certain times of the year its daylight 24/7 and they golf when they are not splashing around in the hot spring water. Sounds like Heaven, tee times 24 hours a day!!!! Full scale investigation is being launched.
