I have been using Dermazinc with Clobetasol for three weeks and I am very pleased with the results. Elbows, scalps and legs have cleared up to the extent that I am hopeful of wearing short-sleeved shirts this spring!. You need a doctor's prescription and a pharmacy which will put the formula together.My doctor and pharmacist said to use it only til I am clear and then just as needed. It is not inexpensive, but I needed only 1/2 a bottle and at this point I use it as needed. I do not understand why people are so leery of this medication. My bathroom cabinet is filled with tubes and liquids of just about everything that has been talked about on this board, including vinegar. The Dermazinc with Clobetasol has worked better than anything. Anyone have experience with this over the long haul? I've been disappointed before, but I have my fingers crossed that this formula will continue to work for me.

I also use this product with good results. I can get complete clearing in about 10 days. Then I go off for a couple of weeks and just do "touch ups" as needed. So far, it works great. I hope you find the same results. Good luck

Dear Renee,
Please tell me more. I am guessing that this is a mixing of two different medicines. I have not heard of Dermazinc, but I believe that the Clobetasol is the generic name of Ultravate. How did you find out about this and is it something that the doctor is going to know about? We have not had the best of luck trying to educate the doctor....Thanks........Terry

The product does contain Clobetasol @ 0.05% which is generic for Ultravate and others. You can also reach them by phone @ 888.700.8482. This product does require you to fill out a Rx form and have it signed by a doctor.
As Renee says, It seems to work!! You be the judge.

Do call or write them for information. Their formula with clobetazol requires a doctor's prescription - they will send you a prescription form for your doctor's use. Also, you need to know that not all pharmacies can fill this prescription - you need to find a pharmacy which will 'compound' this medication. My dermatologist is Board Certified and did not hesitate to provide me with this prescription. So far so good!! Best of Luck. Let us and others know how things work out for you.

yes i have used this med for a few years and it works great with the exception of dramatic skin thining.thining to the point of rediculous bruising and skin that pops and tearts like a celophane package.the med works by inhibiting skin cell growth,it also is a vaso[blood]inhibitor.less red and less plaque.lots more tears and bleeding and one becomes slow to heal.the sad thing is that i prefer it to being psoriasis boy.try to use uva and uvb rays to augment the clearing.tanning also slows down the crazy skin and blood growth.and covers up the blotchy areas .

I have used a dermazinc/clobetasol mix since about three years ago. It is a very good treatment for me since I have "spots" the size of quarters spread out all over my body and this stuff is easy to spray on real quick. Unlike the creams which take a very long time to dab on every spot on my body. I use the mix for up to two weeks and then take time away from it. It usually gets me about totally clear (and sane, which is nice). I would definitely recommend taking as much time between uses as possible (like only for times when you really want to be clear). The only reason I say this is because I have found the mix to be less effective the more I use it. I have become slightly concerned about the skin thinning/slow healing thing mentioned in the above post. I would like to know if anyone knows if this side effect is reversible if usage is stopped.
