    LOOK!

Look at these pictures of my hands. The black dots are in the area where my pp was so bad. This clearing has happened since Aug. 5. My hands had pustular places and were cracking and bleeding when I went into the hospital.

WOW fran....great! so happy for you...not happy that you had to go to the hospital originally to get this treatment! but it was worth it wouldn't you say......
I found this article on doctors questioning each other on P treatment and saw Dr Steve Feldman's name.....it is very interesting and sounds like the rest of us on here trying out different treatments at least they have each other as a sounding board......

Oh,,,Trudy,,,,I know how that feels. I have been worse than that looks. In the mid 80's, I could not close my hands or open them all the way. I wrapped them in gauze when I went out. There was no way I was going to shake hands with anyone.

Ask your doc to try an antibiotic. None of the p meds helped me. When I had the staph infection, I was on Ancef by IV for 7 weeks. I was getting better all the time. Then he switched me to 500mg of Keflex 2xdaily. I'm still getting better.
I was using a wheelchair last summer. My feet are so much better. I'll get some new pics of them soon.

Gee I wonder why my derm didnt put me on the keflex at 500mg twice a day instead of the 250mg 4 times a day. I would rather do it twice a day. Thanks Dr. Granny I will ask him

    thanks for hope!

Grannie I have an appointment with a derm on the 7th. Haven"t seen one for about two years.I'm finding the family doc. not very supportive. She thinks if I use her cream and keep using it no matter what, even if it seems to make it worse I'll get better so it"s my fault my hands are like this not to mention my feet and toes that she doesn't even look at! Some times I just want to screammmmmmmmm! Ok...... that"s better! I'll ask him(derm) about antibotic! Hope DH is e.njoying those hands

    Trudy,
I wish I had before pictures. Print mine if you want to and show your doc. This might not work for everyone but it sure is worth trying. I never had it in my fingers,,,just the palms. And all over the sides and bottom of my feet. Did you see my pictures a while back? My feet got worse than these pictures. It got all over one big toe and very close to the nail,,,now it has cleared.

    bad day for my toe

I have a hard time taking pic. of my own feet and dh doesn't want to help with them. I think i should keep picures to show derm, since our hospital only holds a clinic a few times a year. Some times I can have good days but theydont come as often any more. I keep looking at you hand pic. so nice and a long time comming for you .

Gran,,,how wonderful,,isn't that a great feeling! Mine are clear now also,,,,and wow what a good feeling....

Trudy,,,believe me I also know that feeling, I've had bandaids on all fingers at one time and my toes. I owe it to soaking in the baking soda and olive oil. Give it a try,,,Go read my thread. I hope your hands will get clear also... My nails also look alot better... I've also heard apple cider vineger helps...But looking at those pics i'd wait on the apple cider

Trudy,,,,I know how painful that is, even though I only got it on one toe.

I tried so many things,,,,Enbrel, Soriatane, MTX, Kennalog injections, all the UVB, Puva, Grentz rays---going back 41 years. I sat and cried while a doctor gave me Kennalog injections in the palm of my hands. She kept saying she would stop at anytime. I told her, if it would help,,,keep going. It didn't help.
This just kept getting worse as time went by. I even told my Dh to bury me with my socks on. I have slept in socks all these years. I never gave up. I just hope this will last.

I got so sick of creams and ointments that I can't touch them with my fingers. I use a spatula to put them on.

I am not taking any p drugs now, but I am taking the SE and AS teas and some other supplements.

Michael,,,,if you could see my hands from the other side, you could see my deformed fingers from arthritis. Not PA,,,,just osteo. You can see my little pinkies in the picture.

Arl,,,glad you're doing good. Hang in there!

Wow, Granny! I remember the last pics that you posted were not a pretty sight. I'm so glad that you're finally getting relief after all these years. I hope and pray that you stay in remission for a very, very long time.

Ouch, Trudy! That looks so painful! I know from other peoples' experiences, that hand and foot psoriasis can be very hard to treat. I hope and pray that you find something that gives you some relief!

BTW, I don't think we've met, so let me take this opportunity to welcome you to the Board! Nice to meet you.

    Granny,

Your hands look great, glad that the anti-biotics are working. Do you know how long you will have to stay on keflex?

    Trudy,

I do hope that you get better too, that looks so painful
